Everything is great!
Hey Y'all
Sounds like everyone is having adventures! My companion is Sister Andelin from Oram Utah. So this week has been great! One of our investigators, Sabrina told us that she knows that she needs to be baptized! She will be getting baptized on the 29th-this Saturday!!! We are so happy for her. She is so ready to be a member of this church. It's been amazing to see how the Lord has prepaid her for this time.
Hey did everyone see the leadership broadcast yesterday? If not you need to! I know now how important the members are in this work and before my mission I was not a very good member! I would like to invite everyone to not be afraid to share the gospel with your friends, co-workers and every one else. You are the key to this wonderful work!
I love this gospel and am so blessed to have this time to serve the Lord with all my heart, might, mind, and strength. Love you all and thanks for all the prayers.

The Plague
Hi All,
This week some of our lessons got cancelled, so not much progress, but I did get to know more of the members better, so that's good. Funny Story for this week. So we were out contacting on the street and we started talking to this guy and he told us that he was a Jahova's Whitness. So he hurried away but he was waling the same way we were, and we would see him say something out us to the people he passed. When we would pass them they would hurry and tell us that they have a religion and would act scared of us, some would cut through parking lots so they would not have to talk to us. Some would cut through parking lots so they would not have to talk to us. It was so weird, the only thing I could do was laugh. Some times when your a missionary you feel like you have a plague! But to me it just makes me laugh. There are a lot of people here with all these different ideas. It helps me think differently and testifies to me that no matter who you are, or where you came from this gospel is true and it's for everyone! Love you all, Sister Henderson

Greenie
Hey every one. Thanks
for all the letters. California is great. My first area is Huntington Beach. We have two investigator and they are doing good, moving right
along. One of them is 20 years old she studies the
lessons before we even give them to her. She will hopefully be getting baptized in three weeks. I just
love her. Her family doesn't really like the idea of her joining the church. I
am having a hard time with just
talking to people on the street, not very good at it. Earlier this
week we went to see a less active, but they were not home so we knocked on some doors and one
of them, was this older man
and he was all anti lds but we ended up talking to him for about 45 min. Then later that day we were walking down the
street in a different part of our area when this man pulls up and stops traffic to talk to us and tells us
that he would like to learn more about our faith. That was a fun day. we
are going to go see him tomorrow hopefully. Biking is FUN with a skirt! That is an adventure by its self. My companion trainer is great. She gets out there and talks to everyone. More adventures are still out there. Sorry it's short, but thanks for all the prayers and
letters it helps a lot. love you all!

Tiffany has been assigned a "great trainer" according to the Mission President's wife. She is in Huntington Beach. She has a bike and she is approved to have an ipod with the audio of missionary study materials. She was happy when she met with the Mission President. They said, "Thank you, for sending us a great missionary". Her P-day is Monday, so I (Kayleen the mom) will post her emails sometime later that day.

Sister Henderson flew to California today. She called from the SLC airport. She was in a group of 24 missionaries headed for the Long Beach Mission. 12 of the missionaries are sisters.

First P-day
Hey everyone, today is my first P day, so I get to write. The MTC is hard! One of the hardest weeks ever, but I have learned so much. In class we are learning about the needs of our investigators and how to teach them. I feel that I will be able to teach someone something. I can't wait to get to the mission field. So on that note I have a funny story for you - so at meals we as a district sit together, so Monday at lunch this Elder Wilson was sitting across the table from me and without him knowing I put salt in his water. so lunch went on and he had still had not drunk his water so I thought that he was not going to. But right before he left the table he chugged it down and didn't realize what had happened until he was done with the water. His face was so funny! Every one laughed - even him. I'm glad I can still laugh! I'm nervous, but I know that the Lord will not let me fail if I am willing to do my part, even if it's not that big! Love you all! And thanks for the prayers.
