Hey, Shayla

Hey SHAYLA -- WHATTTTTT! THAT IS SO COOL! I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO GO FOREIGN!!!! THIS IS SO EXCITING!!! I get to see you before you go. This is a happy day!!!!
Well my week wasn't as exciting.  This week was busy but didn't feel to productive. The new area is great, a little slow but a good area, and I love my new companion! Sister Oler is so much fun. Sister Pendleton stayed in Whittier. The work is kind of slow at the moment but this will change here soon. This is the Lord's work, things are always happening.
So this week my thoughts have been geared toward charity. Something the Lord is teaching me that I need to go deeper.
We already started to do exchanges. It was fun. I went with a sister that I came out with. It was fun to catch up. On the exchange we were biking a lot. It was nice at the first part of the day.  We meet this lady, she had just come out of her door and we started talking with her. She told us that she and her family needed God more in their life's.  We told her that our message would help her and her family come closer to God and come closer as a family. We were able to set up a time to come back and were able to say a prayer with her and some of her kids. It was a good way to start the day. The sisters are going to be able to teach this family!
That is the biggest highlight of the week. It's crazy how the weeks go faster and faster. I love the people here and I am so blessed that I get to be here serving them! I love you all so much.  Talk to you next week!

Till we write again,

Transfer

Hey! This week has been crazy!!!! I am being transferred to Cypress for the next and  last 7 weeks!! My new companion's name is Sister Oler! I am so exited she is amazing! I am still a Sister Training Leader but just in a different area. Some weird events happened to lead up to me getting transferred for my last transfer. But I'm excited. It felt right. So, regarding my coming home, I got my flight plans this last week. I will be flying in to Pocatello at 11:40 am on Dec. 2nd. Please bring a coat I will be freezing!  It's weird to think that this adventure is almost over! But when one adventure ends another begins.
So Katherine came to church last Sunday and stayed the whole time! She also brought her kids, Calvin and Peril.  They are so fun and they all loved church!!! It was sad to say bye to them. But they are in good hands and hopefully Katherine will get baptized on Nov 16. The work is moving on and I am so thankful for the time I had in this area. There has been so much growth that happened in this last 2 months. The Lord has taught me more about how I need to continually rely on him and the blessings of being obedient! I love that we get to learn every day. I love this great work! Thank you for everything you do and will do!
                                                              Till we write again,

Baptism and Conference

Hey, conference was super great. we got to see all sessions. the baptism went well. Also the training on obedience. the training gave me a lot of stress I wanted it to go well. but all is well that ends! ( Shon )
I am sad to heir about Margie Carlyle I love her so much she has always been a great example to me!
I had no Idea that Kinsey was even dating any one!  I guess that's what happens when you go on a missionI realize that Pocatello and home is a different place than how I left it. so ya. This is the last week in this transfer so by Monday we will know who stays and how goes. My guess is that I will be staying put and the other two will go. Sister Pendleton has been in this area for 9 months now. It's crazy to think that I have one more transfer before I'm done. It doesn't seem real. I feel like this is what my life has always consisted of.
Hey so I asked about if you would be okay if I came back to California not to soon after I get home what are your thoughts about that? It also depends on when Shayla takes off. But I would love to hear an opinion on this.
Also I need to register for school soon, I forgot the paper that I had with the classes I was hoping to take so I'll just send it in the mail. also I sent a package home did you get it?
Thanks for all the love and support! love you!!!
                                                                        till we write again

Eating it up!

Well Hello!!! Things this week has been going really well here in this neck of the woods! The people we have been blessed to teach are eating up the gospel. Especially the book of Mormon!!! Mark is getting baptized this Sunday the 5th at 5pm! I have never seen a more prepared person in my life! He told us that he feels like he is finally finishing his journey! Mark studies so much on his own, so when we meet with him it's more of a review then anything!
So this week we had many meetings which were really good! I loved the women's conference. It was so good! One thing I am looking forward to is when I can do more family history work!
Congratulations to Jaymon!!!!! That is so exciting. This is a choice you will never regret! I know that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ restored back to the earth at this time through the prophet Joseph Smith! Because of this, we can be with our families together forever, and have the peace to know that as we are obedient to Gods counsel we can return and live with him again!
So, this up-coming week, the mission's president's wife, Sister Tew, asked Sister Pendleton and me and some other sisters to give trainings (short 10-15 min. lessons with commitments at the end). Mine is on being "Exactly Obedient!" At first I was thinking that my topic was not so fun! This topic has been pounded in to our heads so much that as soon as some hear what the topic is they tune out. But now I am really excited to give it. I have been thinking about it a lot since Friday. I am going to try it at a different view. The process it took to know how to teach this has been one of the best experiences ever. I have been keeping the Lord in the process the whole time because I want them to learn what the Lord wants them to know and apply and not what I want them to know. As I have done this, so much inspiration has come. The main scripture is based on Hymn 270  I will go where you want me to go!
I am so thankful and blessed that I have all of you in my life, and Shayla now you are truly a squirrel!!! HaHa! ;)
