The Miracles of God

I just want to First say I love you!  This week went super well. We have been finding like crazy. This transfer has been full good things! We meet this man named Mark, about a month ago that was interested in knowing about the gospel. But lived in a different ward boundaries, so we had to pass him off. Missionaries were in touch with him here and there but his wife didn't like them coming over at all.  She made one of the Elders cry! So they lost contact for a little bit then two weeks ago he showed up to their church and told them he wanted to get baptized and knew the Book of Mormon is true. Joseph Smith is a true Prophet. He is ready to do whatever it takes to join. He just moved into our ward boundaries so now we get to teach him! He is one amazing person who is hungry for truth! We have been finding many that have the true intent to know. Like this lady Kathren when on exchanges. My companions found her and she is already in the second book of Nephi, in the Book of Mormon. The weeks have been full of miracles and wonder.
Today we got to go to the temple. It just gave more strength. I love the temple so much.
I love you so much. Keep seeking the Lord in all you do and look for a tender mercy each day. This is one great way to build your faith!

The Week Flies By

Hi,
This week flew by for me as well. The threesome is great and was truly inspired. Sister Redger is so funny.  She finds the humor in every situation. The biggest thing I learned this week is to continue to show Charity to others, to keep a brightness of hope, and keeping the faith strong. The trick is how do you maintain and balance these things? There are small and simple things I can do to maintain these, like seeking faith, hope, charity as I read daily, pray always for help, and listen to the testimonies of others. we were challenged this week to find daily miracles or tender mercies each day. And we have seen them. It has reminded me how much God is aware of us and the love he has for us his children. Like this; everything fell into place even when things canceled on us. My invitation to you this week is to try looking for the tender mercies from the Lord this week and see the love God has for you! I love you all so much!

Marco's Baptism

Hi.

This week was one crazy roller coaster. It seems like the adversary has worked really hard on us this week, so we must be doing something right! A lot of our appointments fell through this week, and the people we have been teaching have been dropping like flies! But despite all that, this week, Marco got baptized on Saturday.  He was someone Sister Young and I taught in Fountain Valley. And I got to go back for the baptism! That was a happy day! Transfers are here and Sister Pendleton and I are still together. We will be in a trio actually.  Sister Redger will be joining us in Whittier. I have served around her a big part of my mission. She has lots of energy that will be fun!!!

I love you all so much.  Keep up the great work over there in the mother land!

Prayers

Hi!  This week has come and gone.
Well this week's theme has been prayers. Yesterday we spoke in church and I spoke on prayers and how the Lord answers us. Most of the time it is on his timing and it's sometime not the answer we want. There is a article in August Ensign. There was some cool experiences this week with answers to prayers.
    1. We were looking for someone to go with us to a lesson and had about tried everyone we could think of then we thought of this sister in the ward so we called her up. When she answered and we told her it was the sisters she started to cry. She just told us that she had just got done praying and asking the Lord if there was something she could do to be more involved in the gospel and the phone rang and it was us.
    2. We went by this member that hasn't been to church in a long time. She is trying to get back but someone is working really hard to keep her from going. Her husband and kids are not members and the whole world is coming down on her.  We have not been able to go by for the last few week. But finally were able to go by. She told us that when came, it the right moment. She needed us at that second and that it was an answer to her prayer.
    3. So Sister Pendleton had a prayer answered as well it wasn't a big one but still a witness that God loves all of us and is listening. She needed a new journal and in passing asked God if he could provide her with one. We were at a members home and she told us she got us something and it was a journal! At first Sister Pendleton had forgotten about that conversation with Heavenly Father. But at that end remembered that she spoke to him about that. She wasn't expecting to really get a journal -but got one.
I know that our Heavenly Father listen to our prayers. A cool acronym I learned out here is PUSH pray until something happens. Don't stop praying. He is there and wants to answer you.
I love you all so much and thanks to all that pray for me it means a lot.

Heart Break

Hi. I don't know if I ever want to live this week ever again. DJ told us he didn't want to meet with us again. It broke my heart. But that's okay. I'm going to focus on the good just for my own sanity. We met this girl named Elijah she is sweet. We taught to her how praying to God can help us be happy. She told us that most of the time she just puts on a fake smile so that no one can know that she is really sad. We asked if we could come back and talk to her again and invited her to pray every day before we meet again. She is 15 and didn't know how to pray so we taught her how and she said she would do it. When we came back some thing was different about her something good. She had a real smile on her face and was truly happy to see us! We taught part of the first lesson and as we did her smile got brighter. She told us she was having a bad day before we came but as soon as she saw us it made her day. She told us she was praying and each time got easer to pray. We told her there are ways she could feel happy even when we are not there. Through prayer and reading the Book of Mormon. She was staying with her sister for a few weeks and would be going back to Garden Grove at the end of the week. We told her to find the missionaries over there and they will help her be happy.
I am so thankful that I am here and get to help others feel of God's love. I love you so much!

Blessed

Hi,
This week has been just as crazy! but good. Oh my, congrats to DJ!!!!! I get home the day before he leaves! Crazy that is not too far off. So funny thing - we have an investigator named DJ and he is super!!! We set a date for him to be baptized on September 7th. He knows this needs to be the next step in his life!
Sister Pendleton is from Mapleton Utah. I love this area a lot and despite all the craziness the Lord has truly blessed us. We are finding many people and they are truly prepared. I love my mission it has been the best choice I could have made. All the people I have met and come to love.
Way to win the blue ribbon. I'm going to have to try some of this blue ribbon cobbler some day! Good luck with school every one, and mom. I love you lots.

Whittier

Hi,
Sorry we Email earlier now. Hope the lodge was fun! This week was super fun and long. We whet on two exchanges this week. It felt like I wasn't even in my area for half of the time. But that's okay. I got to know more of the sisters in our mission that I didn't know very well. One may be a roommate at school!
So yesterday we met this man that was missing a few marbles. It was a little scary/ funny but we luckily had a brother from the ward with us. But this man was telling us that we were going to burn, then the next second he decided that I was the one for him and wanted me for his bride. I told him I was already taken and we got out of there. The Church is true and God loves you! Sorry this is super short but I love you all so much!
