I'll be home in 24
hours this is so crazy! this week was good. Lot's of departing mission things
happened. like going to the Temple with our mission President and his wife. had
lot's of meetings and now it's time to go. I love you so much. can't wait to see
you as well! and tell you about my adventures! IN PERSON!!!!
this is super crazy!!! In a blink of an eye I will be in your arms!!!!!!!!!
I will write next
Monday but it will most likely be short.
Oh and by the way, I don't think I will be coming back to
California right soon after. I guess she wont be going to the temple any
time soon. :(
So this week went so
much better! we have seen the Lord in our work many times. This week we have been working with the members
a lot more. It's been interesting. Many member have come
to us and are asking us how to share the gospel with their
friends. We realized that, that is where our focus needs to be, is helping the members be missionaries. This ward has had more people join the church
through the members friends.
I am so thankful for
the mission and the things I have been able to learn. It's price is far beyond the price of rubies. I
Love you sooooo much and can't wait to see you!
has been hard. we have had to drop some investigators and some even dropped us.
:( but on the bright side, now we have more time
to find those that are ready for the gospel. lately I feel like my head is in a
cloud. it seems to be the biggest fight of my life to get going and be
motivated. it seems like I am running up a muddy hill with all my might and get
half way up and slip back down again. I'm really tired and full of mixed
emotions. one of the high lights was talking to Dad. It was nice! I don't want
you to think that I'm done with my mission because I'm not! I love being a
missionary and I love this work I'm just torn in between two places I love. I'm
trying to take it one day at a time and love where I'm at while I'm still here.
It has just been a hard week.
bright side,on Sunday it was the primary program. It was so cute! there was also a family that
got confirmed that same day in our ward that the Elders taught! everyone is
seeing miracles in the mission. it's so great to hear about! I know this is God's work and it is
through him this work is done!
Hey this week has
been good! We were able to see Ronnette many times this week! It was really
great. she wants to learns and is so ready. We gave her the Book of Mormon and
she was so excited to read it! We talked to her about the atonement and the
power it has to help us through our struggles. She loved it a lot. Hey have you
got snow yet? This week sister Oler got sick so we were in for one of the days,
and another day we got to help out with a parade and I got some sun that
So coming back
to California seems to be up in the air. The member that is going through the
temple has not figured out the date yet. I would hope it would be some time in
the first two weeks of me being home. I'll try really hard to find out by next
week. Maybe the 14th of Dec? you can set up speaking for
whenever. She knows that I might not be able to come, but that I will
I love you
all so much and am thankful to have you in my life. Talk to you soon!
I don't really
remember what happened this week we had three exchanges and everyday just
blends together. one of the exchanges was with sister young!!!! It was fun to
be back with her for a day. so here is a story for you I was on a
exchange with sister Dunston and we were on bikes in a housing track. and as
missionaries we are to talk with everyone. so we were biking along and we
passed this man that was painting a house and the thought came- you need to talk with that man and ignored it. It's still hard for
me to talk with everyone. so we kept biking and went to the next place we were planning
on going. sister Dunston and I were in my area and I'm still finding my way
around. so somehow we ended up back by the man painting the house and the
thought came again as we were passing him. as we went passed I said Hello. and
passed him. after we passed I knew we needed to go back. so I stopped and
told sister Dunston we needed to go back. so we did and talked to him. he had broken English but knew enough to talk for a second. he had questions about the church and wants to know more! It
was so amazing how small and simple the spirit speaks to you but how great the
results are when we follow them, and how God will give us opportunities to
prove ourselves after we mess up! he wants his children to come and continues
to mark the path. I miss you all so much and can't wait to see you! I love where I'm at and I love thisgospel!
Hey SHAYLA -- WHATTTTTT! THAT
IS SO COOL! I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO GO FOREIGN!!!!
THIS IS SO EXCITING!!! I get to see you before you go. This is
a happy day!!!!
Well my week wasn't as exciting. This week was busy but didn't feel to productive. The new area is great, a little slow but a good area, and I love my
new companion! Sister Oler is so much
fun. Sister Pendleton stayed
in Whittier. The work is kind of slow at the moment but this will
change here soon. This is the Lord's
work, things are always happening.
So this week my thoughts have been geared toward charity. Something the Lord is teaching me that I need to go deeper.
We already started to do exchanges. It was fun. I went with a sister that I came out with. It was fun to catch up. On the exchange we were biking a lot. It was nice at the first part of the day. We meet this lady, she had just come out of her door and we started talking with her.She told us that she and her family needed God more in their
life's. We told her that our message would help her and her family come
closer to God and come closer as a family. We were able to set up a time to come back and were able to say a
prayer with her and some of her kids. It was a good way to start the day. The sisters are going to be able to teach this
That is the biggest highlight of the week. It's crazy how the weeks go faster and
faster. I love the people here and I am so blessed that I get to be here
serving them! I love you all so much. Talk to you next week!
Till we write
